Yes, you can remain anonymous in our groups.

We don’t ask for your personal contact details and we won’t record any information about you.

One thing we do at the beginning of every group is go around and state the name and pronouns each of us want to use on that day (learn more about pronouns here). This is so everyone knows how to address you. You can choose a name that will protect your identity if you prefer.

It’s easy to be anonymous when it comes to attending a Zoom group. You can use whichever name you would like when you log in, set your name and introduce yourself. If it makes you more comfortable, you’re also welcome to turn off your video so that others in the group can’t see your face or your surroundings. When joining via phone call, there’s no video enabled meaning you won’t be able to see others and they won’t be able to see you. Our Zoom settings are adjusted so that your phone number is hidden, meaning nobody can see your number either.
